ABOUT THE CLASS
Overview
7th grade social studies covers roughly the first third of American history. We will begin the year by looking the origins of Native Americans in North and South America. The year will wrap up with the forming of our Constitution and the debates our Founding Fathers had over it. For more details about the material being covered throughout the year, please check the "Curriculum/Grading Scale" page.
What to Expect

Please be aware that students will use their textbooks sparingly throughout the year. Textbooks can be wonderful sources of information, but they're not the only source. Do not be surprised if history material is not always coming home. Students are often given time during class to work on material...if they use their time wisely. By doing work in class, it also gives me time to ensure that the work is being done correctly.
